HPV Vaccine - Gardasil-9 Vaccine
Vaccinate against Human Papillomavirus (HPV) here today at Egerton Pharmacy.
HPV is the name of a very common group of viruses. They do not cause any problems in most people, but some types can cause genital warts or cancer.
You can get HPV from:

any skin-to-skin contact of the genital area

vaginal, anal or oral sex

sharing intimate toys
You do not need to have penetrative sex. HPV has no symptoms, so you may not know if you have it.

The vaccination is available to individuals from the age of 9 years old, with valid consent from the patient, parent, guardian or person with parental responsibility.
The frequency of vaccination is age dependent. If you are 9 to and including 24 years, a single dose is needed. If you are 25 years and older, 2-dose schedule is needed at 0, 6 to 24 months
The brand of HPV vaccine available at Egerton Pharmacy is Gardasil-9 and costs £165 per dose.
MMR (Mumps, Measles and Rubella)
Vaccinate against ​Mumps, Measles and Rubella.

Who can get this vaccination?
Anyone from 12 months and over, individuals that have not had 2 doses of vaccine, and where immunisation status is not known.

This vaccination is subjective to meeting the criteria for eligibility.
​
1 dose at a selective date followed by a second dose at least one month after the first dose.
​
If you have ever only had one dose of this vaccine a second dose may be administered at any time to complete the schedule.
​
The cost of this vaccine is just £55 per dose.
