If you are having trouble hearing, it could be due to excess wax in your ears. Speak to our specialists at Egerton Pharmacy today, and discover how we can help you.

What is Ear Microsuction?

Microsuction is a process to remove wax from your ear with the help of a small suction tube. This technique is highly efficient and preferred by medical experts. Our team of health professionals is well-trained to undertake the ear microsuction process expertly and safely.

How does Ear Microsuction work?

Once you book an appointment and attend our clinic, our experienced Ear Consultant takes the time to understand your circumstances and go through a list of set questions with you. We will make you aware of any potential risks involved in the process before seeking your consent.

We will assess the condition of your ears using an otoscope to ensure that the wax in your ears is soft enough to be removed by the microsuction procedure. Once we have determined the softness, a suction tube is inserted in your ear to remove the wax.

Is the Ear Microsuction method effective to remove hard wax? Is it safe for me?

Although the microsuction method is most efficient for soft ear wax, it can also remove impacted or hard wax. Once you book an appointment and visit us, our professional audiologist will offer the most appropriate tailored solution for your needs. If your issue is complicated and if the wax is too deep, we will advise an action plan accordingly. Generally, microsuction is safe, but for more information or to discuss your condition, please get in touch with us today.
